Wow.. What an AMAZING 2nd day of Alpha Leadership Training! We had so many activities today!

Started with playing “Know Your Brian” game- A game that will help us to discover our strength, which played in UYMG Singapore too. Stephen brought us through the whole game so that leaders are prepared for it. It will be played on the 1st day of UYMG itself.

Discussion- trading cards.

Besides that, we also had TIM Lee, sharing on his COLORFUL experience on conducting Mastermind Group. Pretty cool stuff. He gave some great insights on how to conduct it with full of vibes. He did once conducted 30 pax mastermind group in Goldcoast!

One of the highlight of the day was Stephen actually issued a challenge to the leaders. A challenge to get us divided into 2 teams, each team given AUD 200 and try to get as creative decorative toys from city. IMAGINE that?! Suddenly, the child within all the leaders was awake.. guess what they got?…

pb220213web.JPG

Giant Ballons, bubble machines, colorful wrist bands, inflatable basketball hoops, huge sunglasses, shakers…. and you name it all!

pb220221web.JPG

Look at us!? Isn’t that cool! (Look at Stephen)

Who said Internet Marketing is just COMPUTERS? Who said Internet Marketer are geeks!? Take that!

pb220224web.JPGJoan and Nilla Spark did a SUPERB Sharing on-family leadership! Not sure about other, their sharing touched my heart the most. They spoke on how to relate as a Baby Boomers (Joan and Nilla) to the Generation Y (Their son- Jason). They shared on the challenges of 2 difference generation trying to get connected. True story, their story. Fantastic one!

Finally, some of the speakers came to brief us about their products, presentation and pitch, among them are..

John Paul and Deborah Micek- Blogging 360 and New Media

Stephen and Alicia missed their flight today and are not able to make it in time to speak in the Seminar conducted by Chris Howard - Ultimate Business Seminar…  nevertheless nothing is going to stop Stephen from giving his presentation.

That’s the beauty of the Internet. Although Stephen is thousand miles away, he is still going to deliver his presentation through .. TELE-Seminar!

At this current moment, I’m in Sydney, coordinating the handouts, handling sales concerns and making sure everything is well prepared. Stephen’s session will be starting in 10 min time.

Stephen = Korea

Sern Yi = Sydney

Seminar (400 pax) = Sydney

How is this possible?

All is needed is just a Phone Line and a Mouth to get the telesminar going!

Keep you posted soon… starting soon.

From Wikipedia

rss.jpgRSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a “feed,” “web feed,” or “channel,” contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that’s easier than checking them manually.

RSS content can be read using software called an “RSS reader,” “feed reader” or an “aggregator.” The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed’s link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The reader checks the user’s subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds.

The initials “RSS” are used to refer to the following formats:

  • Really Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0)
  • RDF Site Summary (RSS 1.0 and RSS 0.90)
  • Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.91)

RSS formats are specified using XML, a generic specification for the creation of data formats.

Benefits

1) RSS is “pull” technology. This means reader will explicitly subscriber to your RSS only if their are interested, then the it will pull down the content from your site to their own Feed reading Service. The reader has full control and able unsuncriber anytime they want. As a publisher, its is a good thing because you can rest assured that reader to subscriber to your RSS really reading your content.

2) People that read your blog an subcrbe to your RSS normally is a very Targeted audience. This is to the blogger advantage as you will know what your target audience want. Look at my post on NICHE Marketing.

3) RSS can help distribute informaion more efficiently. It makes Internet users lives better. In the world of Internet, having right information on right time is impotant as there are too much information - Information Overload!

How to get More Readers?

1)When you write a post, always point your reader back to the RSS subscriptions.

2)Write a post on how to subscribe to the RSS Services. (Depend on your target audience resistance to technology)

3) Make your RSS icon or link visible or prominent for your reader to subscribe. In my blog, you can see the link on the left sidebar of the blog, right beside the orange icon.

Thats it for today… hope this simple lesson will help.

pb160008web.JPGLooking out of the window in the Airport transit area, i can’t help but think of how impossible it is to be at my right position now , especially since the past few years have been ones of struggles and an uphill of life challenges. I really want dedicate this post to my Creator, my God and Savior. As i am a strong believer in Christ, I do believe that everything good comes from above!

Since I don’t have much to do now….except to wait for the boarding gate to be open, I’ll tell you a little about myself. = ) some random EVENTS in my life.. some of them are very personal stories of mine.

During my younger years, I was (and still is) very active in my Faith. I would be in church almost everyday and I love to serve Him. Loving God, Loving People has always been my motto in my life. In fact, I almost choose the path to become a pastor, and to be frank, I still intend to be one… that is a long story by itself. = )

My story starts when my family went through a financial distress during the 97s and all my plans basically went down the drain. Yes, to join the work force wasn’t an option for me and I had no choice but to step out to work in order to support myself.

I had my fair share of experiences in dealing with people as i had various types of jobs and businesses. you can name it, waiter, selling PCs, selling soya beans drink, trading products and i eventually ended up in the Financial Planning industry, which turned out fruitful.

But then, in end of 2005 , I stumbled upon a one step system business offered by a company called, Prosperity Automated System. It became my first online business and I invested about RM 15000 out of my own pocket, hoping it will bring in good returns. Apart from the capital, I forked out another RM5000 for Advertising cost. In total i invested about RM20 000.

Although I did recoup back approx RM10000 from sales, but just when the momentum was starting to pick up, the company was put under investigation by the SEC of US, Securities Commission and never came back. In other words, the company CLOSED DOWN. I was totally DEVASTATED,  i lost all hopes and i wanted to give up…I still can vividly recall that period, when coincidently that i was visiting my girlfriend in Tasmania, i had to put up a strong and bubbly face to show that everything was alright. I know to some people RM15000 is not much, but for me, it was A BLOW!

To cut the long story short… even though my first online business failed and it failed badly, but I didn’t gave up. I started searching for more courses, seminars, workshops and eventually mentors that could help me succeed online. Over 1 and half years, I invested more than RM20k into learning and testing (the cost of a Degree course in Business??)

Although I do not have much results to boast about.. i am honoured to be given an opportunity to speak in a conference organized by a Multi-Millionaire!(definitely not by my own effort but all credit goes to my Creator.) He always come through our situation if we stick on with our EXCELLENT spirit- humility, integrity, faith and always providing value to others…

pb160007web.JPG

Today marks another milestone in my life..

Ok, enough of rambling… gotta catch the plane now.. BoARDING Gate is Opening…Don’t wanna get left behind :)
